Description
The Former Egerton Church of England School is a school building from around 1880, now used for commercial purposes. It is constructed of brick with terracotta details and has a Welsh slate roof. The main structure features a central range flanked by recessed entrance wings, with a parallel range at the back.
The exterior is two stories high and has five windows. The first floor showcases trefoiled mullioned and transomed windows, positioned beneath tall gabled dormers. The ground floor features segmentally-arched mullioned and transomed windows. There is a moulded eaves cornice, a steep roof with ridge cresting, a slate hung spirelet, and stacks on the end walls. The entrances are located in the lower recessed wings on either side, with the boys' entrance on the left, which has a hipped roofed pavilion block beyond, and the girls' entrance on the right, also in a pavilion block. Both entrances have gabled porches with deeply moulded arches and terracotta lettering in low relief above the arches. The interior has not been inspected.
