Corner house. Late C18, shop front on corner added in early to mid C19, the only remnant of the original front being a plain entablature with projecting cornice. Stucco with hipped roof of tiles. 3 storeys and dormers, over basement. 2-window range on the main elevation and the return. All openings on the main elevation are flat arched, those on the return are camber arched, one blocked. Apart from corner entry into shop, there is one entry with overlight to return; another under construction at the time of survey (autumn, 1991) to the party wall with No.89. Segmental bay with tripartite window above shop; sashes of original design: 6 x 6 to centre and 2 x 2 to sides. A 2-storey bay to the rear of the return, segmental to the ground floor, where there are sashes of original design, and canted to the first. To the left a canted bay to first floor only. 2 flat-arched dormers; single dormer to return. Central stack. INTERIOR: not inspected. No.90 forms a group with 3 other buildings in the block, Nos 87-87A, 88, and 89 (qv).
