Description
The stable block, built in the mid-19th century, is located to the north of Allanbay Park. It features red brick walls arranged in Flemish bond and a slate gabled roof. The building has a U-shaped plan and is primarily a single storey, except for the two-storey central section, which has cross gables that project slightly and feature quadrant curves at the angles.
On the south front, there are two rounded-arched windows in the central block, which are sash windows with glazing bars and pivot hinges. A wide segmental arch leads to a covered entrance way, with a blank round window positioned above it. The ends of the wings have blank round arches. Inside the left wing's inner return, there are three stable doors topped with radial fanlights, while the right wing's inner return contains four adjoining double stable doors.
