Description
Seven Acres is a house located on Church Hill in Binfield. It was originally known as The Cottage and dates from the mid-18th century, with extensions and a new façade added in the early 19th century.
The house is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features an old tiled gabled roof with three parallel spans. It has a rectangular plan with a cross gabled extension on the right and a single-storey extension on the left.
The exterior is two storeys high and includes four tall chimneys with offset heads and clay pots. The sash windows have glazing bars and are topped with gauged brick arches. The entrance front faces southeast and has a central five-bay section with a parapet. A large projecting canted lobby is located in the second bay, topped with a lead roof and featuring a slightly projecting wooden porch. To the right, there is a single bay gable with a tripartite window on the ground floor and dentilled brick eaves. The single-storey extension on the left has a slate roof and one window. The interior has not been inspected.
