Description
The south entrance gates and piers to Ascot Place, located on Forest Road, are from the early 19th century and are now disused. They are constructed of multi-coloured stock brick, which may be partly rebuilt. The entrance features a recessed design with curved flanking walls, ending in piers topped with stone cornices and ball finials. The central tall gate piers have stone urn finials, although one on the right is missing. The gates consist of wrought iron double centre gates and single side gates, adorned with a delicate, crested overthrow.
