Description
Tudor Cottage is a house dating from the early 17th century, with extensions added in the 19th century. It features a timber frame with narrow brick infill and an old tile gabled roof. The building has a rectangular plan consisting of three framed bays, with a pent roof extension at the rear and small lean-to extensions at each end.
The cottage is two storeys high with attics and has open eaves. It has two projecting end chimneys, one on the left, which is large and weathered, made of narrow bricks and has been cut down. The windows are 19th century or older casements, some with leaded lights. The north-west front has two bays, featuring one four-light and one three-light window on the first floor, along with two three-light windows on the ground floor, all of different sizes. There is a plain 20th-century entrance door located in the extension at the rear.
Inside, the principal beams on the ground floor are exposed and feature chamfers and shield stops.
