Description

MIDDLETON ROAD 1. 4430 MITCHAM Riverside TQ 2766 2/116 II 2. Early to mid C19; former mill house [Roberts' Mill]. 2 storeys. 3 window bays. Slate hipped roof. Paired bracket overhanging eaves. Brick cladding. Entrance front has sash windows 3 panes wide on 1st floor and 2 splayed bay windows on ground floor. Steps lead up to prostyle porch; round-headed doorway with stuccoed impost blocks; early C19 semi-circular fanlight with tracery; 5-panelled door with top 2 panels glazed and with large finely worked circular panel in centre. In right hand return, a half-glazed door with semi-circular fanlight and with fluted impost.
