Description

This is an early 18th-century building on West Street, Carshalton. It is a two-story structure, originally built with plaster rendering on its exterior. It features four sash windows aligned horizontally. A wooden eaves cornice with modillions arranged in groups of three runs along the top of the building. The roof is slate-covered and includes two flat-topped dormers. A shop has been built out over the forecourt. The building is part of a group which includes numbers 48, 50 to 64 (even), and 70 to 80 (even).
