Description

This is an early to mid-19th century row of two-storey buildings on West Street, Carshalton. The row comprises twelve windows and a central doorway for each property. It has a slate roof with a hip to the left-hand end. The front elevation is roughcast with cemented pilasters and a band. The windows are sash windows with three panes to each, set within plain cemented architraves. The doorways have small, flat hoods supported by brackets and contain four-panelled doors in shallow reveals, except for number 78, which has a plain door. Numbers 42 and 48, numbers 50 to 64 (even), and numbers 70 to 80 (even) form a group.
