Description

This is an 18th to early 19th century building on West Street, Carshalton. It is a two-storey structure with painted weatherboarding and a slate roof. The first floor has sash windows with 4, 3, and 4 panes respectively. Modern additions include a porch and ground-floor bay windows. The building comprises two parallel ranges, with a lower range to the rear. It operated as a shop in the 1820s. It forms a group with numbers 2 to 12 (even), 18, 20, 22 and 24, numbers 3 to 11 (odd) and number 15 West Street, the Water Pavilion to Carshalton House, the boundary wall to Carshalton House in West Street, and The Old Rectory on Festival Walk.
