Description
The barn located to the south-east of Cripp's Farmhouse is a Grade II listed building. It is a long, timber-framed structure consisting of two sections, weatherboarded with a half-hipped tiled roof. There is a later lean-to addition made from assorted materials along the north wall. The left section dates from the late 16th century and has five bays, featuring a side purlin roof with wind braces, queen post roof trusses, cambered tie-beams, and swell-head posts. A porch is situated in the second bay. The right section, likely built in the early 18th century, has four bays and includes queen-post roof trusses, thinner saw-cut timbers, and another hipped gabled porch.
