Description
The barn located to the north-east of Old Oak Farmhouse is an early 18th-century structure that features a timber frame and weatherboarding. It consists of six bays arranged in two sections, each with three bays. The barn has old tiled roofs and a brick plinth. The three northern bays are the earlier part of the building, and there is a central entry. Inside, the barn has raking queen-post roof trusses, along with curved purlin, wall plate, and tie beam braces. The north gable elevation has a slated lean-to. The three southern bays also feature raking queen-post trusses and straight braces to the tie beams, with a central rail and a left-hand entry. The south wall is made of brick.
