Description

This is a timber-framed and weatherboarded barn, dated 1791 as indicated by a tie beam. It has five bays and stands on a brick plinth, with an old tile roof. The barn’s roof structure includes double purlins, with curved queen posts connected to the lower purlin and queen struts supporting the upper purlin in each truss. Curved tie beams brace the barn to a seven-bay hovel located to the south-west.
