Description
Nos 1, 2, and 2A St German's Place are two villas built in the second quarter of the 19th century. No 2A is a subdivision of No 2. Each villa is two storeys tall with a basement and features three windows. No 1 has a symmetrical facade with a central door, while No 2 has an added right bay that forms No 2A, which has a door on its left side. Both villas have hipped, slated roofs with a moderate pitch and eaves soffits. They are constructed of multicoloured stock brick and have gauged, flat brick arches above the sash windows, which all have been renewed and include glazing bars. The basements are stuccoed. Nos 1 and 2 have six-panel doors accessed by four steps, with reproduction patterned fanlights set in round arched recesses. No 2A features a three-light window on the ground floor, a reproduction classical doorcase with an open pediment, and a door with six fielded panels.
