Description
No. 11 Poland Street is a terrace house that dates back to around 1700, although the front was likely rebuilt in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of stock brick with a stuccoed first floor and has a concealed roof. It stands four storeys high and is two windows wide. The ground floor features a late 20th-century shop front, while the upper floors have recessed late 19th-century sash windows set in moulded stucco surrounds. The first floor has a single wide six-light window beneath a segmental arch. At the top, there is a parapet with coping. Inside, the house retains a well-preserved closed and moulded string dog leg staircase from around 1700, complete with twisted balusters and column newels, as well as a panelled compartment.
