Description

77 Berwick Street is a terrace house dating from around 1736, originally built as part of a group with Nos. 79-81. The original brick front has been painted, and the building has a slate roof. It stands four storeys tall and is two windows wide. The ground floor features a later 20th-century shop front. The upper floors have sash windows with glazing bars, framed with flash, and are set under flat gauged arches. There are plat bands between the storeys and a parapet with coping. Inside, original features include a passage with partial panelling and a box cornice, as well as a dog leg staircase with closed strings and turned balusters, although the bottom flight has been altered.
