Description

No. 165 Wardour Street is a terrace house built around 1735. It is constructed of stock brick, with the upper part of the front having been rebuilt, and features a slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall with a dormered mansard and is two windows wide. The ground floor has been altered with a mid-20th century drop front. The upper floors have recessed windows, with later casements on the first floor and sash windows with glazing bars on the second floor, all set under flat gauged red brick arches. The building has a parapet with coping. Inside, there are surviving features that include a probably original dog leg closed string staircase with boxed-in balusters.
