Description

These are a pair of early 18th-century houses on Wardour Street, London, altered in later periods. The buildings are constructed of brick, with a tiled mansard roof recessed behind the parapet of number 132. The front facades, which have been renewed, are three storeys high, with two bays each and contemporary shop fronts on the ground floor. Above are square-headed windows with gauged heads, particularly at number 132. The upper windows are sash windows with plate glass. The interiors retain early 18th-century features, including staircases with turned balusters and thick handrails, some panelling, and a splayed corner chimney breast with chimney pieces in the rear first-floor room of number 130. The rear wall survives in its original form.
