Description
No. 163 Wardour Street is a terrace house dating from around 1735, paired with No. 161. It is constructed of stock brick and has a slate roof. The building stands four storeys tall and is two windows wide. The ground floor has been altered, while the upper floors feature reversed sash windows with later 19th-century glazing set in stuccoed reveals beneath segmental arches made of gauged red brick, with stone sills. Brick plat bands separate the upper floors, and the building is topped with a parapet and coping. There is a commemorative plaque from the London County Council noting that Thomas Sheraton, a notable figure who lived from 1751 to 1806, resided here.
