Description

No. 47 Berwick Street is a terrace house dating from the early 18th century, although it has been altered over time. The building is constructed of brown brick and features a slate roof. It stands three storeys tall and is three windows wide. The ground floor has a later 20th-century frontage, while the upper floors display three closely set sash windows without glazing bars, set beneath flat gauged arches. The building has a parapet with coping and shares a cornice lead rainwater head with No. 48, which is likely from the late 18th century. Inside, original features include a modillioned cornice in the front room on the first floor, moulded dadoes, and elements of panelling.
