Description
This building is a former terrace house from the late 18th century that has been altered. It is constructed of yellow stock brick with stucco dressings and features a slate roof. The structure is three storeys high, plus an attic storey, and has three windows across the front, with a broader three-window return flank facing Noel Street.
The ground floor showcases an early to mid 19th-century wooden shop front that consists of three sections with six panes and a central mullion. There is a recessed riser and a panelled, glazed door to the left framed by thin pilasters, alongside a panelled house door with a marginal glazed fanlight, all beneath an entablature fascia with an egg and dart cornice. The upper floors are fitted with recessed glazing bar sash windows that sit under flat gauged arches, while the attic storey features later casement windows. A main stucco cornice is present above the second floor, leading to a parapet with coping at the attic level.
On the Noel Street return, there is an early 20th-century "Georgian" double shop or office frontage, which includes pilasters supporting an entablature and a semicircular arched doorway adorned with stucco pilasters and a cornice, along with a fanlight and a panelled door. The upper floors also feature "Georgian" sash windows. Additionally, there are cast iron railings with urn finials across the ground floor.
