Description

This is a terrace of four houses, numbered 79 to 85 Albany Street, dating from the early 19th century and restored in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of yellow stock brick, with the top floor repaired using multi-coloured bricks. It is four storeys high, with cellars, and has a five-window frontage. Modern shopfronts have been inserted, featuring pilasters supporting an entablature. The windows are sash windows with large panes, panelled stallboards, and patterned wrought-iron friezes. Part-glazed doors lead to square-headed panelled house doors, each with a fanlight. The windows are set within gauged brick flat arches. Parapets top the building. The interiors have not been inspected.
