Description
Numbers 31 and 33 are two terraced houses located on Albany Street in Camden, built in 1826 by George Thompson. They originally formed, along with No. 19 Albany Street, the rear of Nos 9 and 10 St Andrew's Place. The houses are constructed of stucco and rise four storeys with basements. The façade features six windows, with a flat pediment above the four left-hand windows at the second floor level. The ground floor has round-arched openings, and the doorways, which are located in the two right-hand openings under the pediment, have cornice-heads, radial patterned fanlights, and panelled doors. The windows are recessed sash windows, with some being blind. The pediment is topped with a shallow semicircular niche that contains an urn. There is a cornice and a blocking course at the top. The houses also have attached cast-iron railings with tasselled spearhead finials in front of the areas. The interiors have not been inspected.
