Description

No. 13 D’Arblay Street is a terrace house dating from 1735. It is faced with stucco and features rusticated quoins, a slate roof, and a dormered mansard. The house is three storeys high with a basement, and has a three-window front. A square-headed doorway is positioned on the left side, with a six-panel door set within a stucco architrave featuring a consoled cornice hood. Windows are recessed and now consist mainly of casements or 19th-century sash windows, all set beneath segmental arches. A moulded cornice crowns the parapet, and the property is fronted by plain cast iron area railings. The interior is exceptionally complete, with fully panelled rooms, boxed cornices, and a dog leg closed string staircase with turned balusters.
