Description
No. 24 Poland Street is a terrace house, likely built in 1707, with a possible early 19th-century refronting. It is constructed of stock brick and features a slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall with a dormered mansard and is two windows wide. The ground floor has a later 20th-century shop front. The upper floors have recessed sash windows without glazing bars, with those on the first floor being lengthened due to the refronting, all set under flat gauged arches. Inside, original features include plain sunk panelling in the passage-hall and stair compartment, which contains a dog leg staircase with turned balusters and column newels.
