Originally a house. Early C18, altered mid C19 for auction rooms. Stucco faced, slate roof. Three storeys and mansard attic. Four windows wide above ground floor. Central gothicised entrance porch with gable containing a piece of Egyptian sculpture c.1320 BC. Entrance is flanked by segmental arched splayed reveal broad windows. Upper floors have revealed sash windows with late C18 glazing bars, those on first floor with cornices set above flat heads; cornice and blocking course over second floor. Interior retains mid C19 and early C20 top lit auction rooms.
