Description
26 New Bond Street is a former terrace house with a shop, originating from the mid-18th century and altered in the mid-19th century when the shop front was inserted. The building has a stucco facade with a roof that is concealed by a parapet. It stands four storeys tall and is two windows wide. There is a main cornice with a blocking course above the second floor. The ornate mid-19th century shop front is the main feature of interest, featuring a fascia with a bracketed cornice topped by a pierced balustrade, semi-circular arched windows, and a central entrance flanked by Corinthian columns. The original shutters and panelled double doors are still intact. The upper floors have revealed sash windows, with those on the first floor topped by detached cornices.
