Description
No 140 on New Bond Street is a commercial building constructed between 1896 and 1897 by architects F J Eedle and Meyers. It is designed in a Flemish style, featuring brick and terracotta materials. The building stands five storeys tall, with a late 20th-century shop front at the ground floor. Above, it is three bays wide and includes a two-storey central oriel bay window. The façade is adorned with ornate terracotta decorations on the pilasters, spandrels of the window heads, and friezes, with an elaborate frieze on the third floor. The steep gable is topped with a crowning finial and flanked by obelisk finials at the attic level.
