Description
Number 49 is a terraced house located on Maddox Street in the City of Westminster, dating from the early 18th century. The building is constructed of brown brick with red window arches and stands four storeys tall, featuring three windows across its façade. The ground floor has an intact late 19th-century shopfront with plate glass and a cornice. The upper storeys have segmental-headed windows with flush framed sashes, also made of plate glass. A parapet crowns the building, although the roof is not visible. Inside, the house retains contemporary panelling and a turned baluster staircase.
