Description

Numbers 20-23 and 23A Motcomb Street and Number 15 Lowndes Street form a terrace of houses with shops on the ground floor, dating to approximately 1830. The buildings are constructed of stucco, with a hidden roof. They extend over four storeys and each house originally had two windows. The ground floor shop fronts have been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries, though Corinthian columns remain visible at Number 21. The first floor features cast iron balconies. The windows are mostly sash windows with retained glazing bars, set within square heads. A cornice runs along the top of the building, above which is a parapet. The return elevation to the left is similar in design.
