Description

This is a house located in Halkin Place, City of Westminster, built in the early 19th century and subsequently altered. It is constructed of stucco, with a slate mansard roof. The house is four storeys high, with a mansard attic and basement. It has a two-window frontage. The ground floor was altered around 1900, featuring an entrance on the left side. A cast iron balcony is present on the first floor. The façade is characterised by giant pilasters that extend from the ground to the first floors, with a cornice above the first floor. These pilasters continue to unite the second and third floors. The windows are square-headed sashes, with some glazing bars, and French casements on the first floor. A cornice sits above the fourth floor. It is one of a pair of houses and is situated alongside number 1.
