Description

A row of houses on West Halkin Street, dating from the early to mid-19th century and constructed of stuccoed walls with a slate mansard roof. The row originally comprised seven houses, with No. 14 consisting of two houses each with two windows, No. 15 consisting of two houses each with three windows, and No. 16 consisting of three houses each with three windows. Each house features a projecting Doric porch. Cast iron balconies are present on the first floor of Nos. 16 and the right-hand portion of No. 15; those on Nos. 14 and the remaining portion of No. 15 are likely 20th-century additions. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, with first-floor French casements. A dentil cornice is situated above the second floor. Area railings are present, some of which are probably 20th-century replacements.
