Description
The Turks Head Public House is a pair of terraced houses, including a public house, built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of yellow brick, with No 10 featuring a slate mansard roof, while the roof of No 9 is not visible. No 9 has four storeys, and No 10 has three storeys plus an attic. Each building has two windows across the front. The ground floor is finished with channelled stucco, featuring arched entrances and ground floor windows. The upper floors have square-headed windows with gauged heads. No 10 retains glazing bars, while No 9 has plate glass. There is an altered door cornice on No 9, and the left side of the building has a return. The buildings are included in the listing for their group value with the rest of the street.
