Description

This is a row of six houses, numbered 17 to 23, located on Talbot Road in Westminster. They were built in the mid-19th century and are faced with stucco. The houses are three storeys high, with an attic and basement, and each has two windows. Prominent Corinthian pilasters are placed between the houses, rising through the first and second floors. The ground floor is rusticated. Each house has a projecting porch supported by square piers, and a panelled door. A cast iron, bombé balcony is situated on the first floor. The windows on the ground floor are architraved, while those on the first floor are pedimented. The windows are sash windows with plate glass, and the first floor has French casements. A dentil cornice sits above the second floor, with a subsidiary cornice above the attic.
