Description

This is a row of six houses located on the west side of South Eaton Place in Westminster, built in the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of stucco with slate mansard roofs. They are four storeys high, with an attic mansard and basements, and each house has a width of two windows. Projecting Doric porches provide access to panelled front doors. The ground floor is characterised by channelling. A largely solid continuous stucco balcony runs along the first floor. Windows are square-headed with architraves above the ground floor and pediments to the first floor, with cornices above the second-floor windows. The windows are mostly sash windows with some glazing bars; the first floor features French casements. A console cornice sits above the third floor. The houses have slab chimneys and are surrounded by cast iron area railings.
