Description
This is a row of six houses located on the west side of St George’s Square, in Westminster, built in the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of stucco, with the roof hidden from view. They stand five storeys high and include a basement. Each house is two windows wide. Each has a projecting porch with a Doric style column and a triglyph frieze. The front doors are mostly panelled. The ground floor features canted bay windows, and a continuous balustraded balcony runs across the first floor. The windows are square-headed, with architraves above the ground floor, pediments above the first floor, and cornices above the second and third floors. The windows are sash windows with margin glazing, with French casements to the first floor. A console cornice sits above the fourth floor. Cast iron area railings are present.
