Description

The houses at 26 and 28 Monmouth Road are a pair of semi-detached villas dating to around 1850. They are constructed of stucco with hipped slate roofs extending to the eaves. Each house is two windows wide, and features three storeys plus a basement. The entrances are set within slightly recessed outer bays. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, and are set within square-headed surrounds with architraves. The ground floor architraves have cornices, although the cornice is missing from number 26. Cast iron window guards are present on the ground and first floors, and a cast iron balustrade fronts the entrance steps.
