Description
32 Newton Road is a detached house built in 1938 and designed by Denys Lasdun. It is constructed of a painted concrete frame with cream tile panels and brick to the sides and rear, topped with a flat roof. The house is four storeys high. The ground floor is recessed, containing a central entrance and a garage to the right. The first and second floors feature horizontal bands of glazing. A recessed central balcony is located on the third floor, partly open to the sky, and frames a bowed four-light window with a concrete balustrade. Metal window frames incorporate plate glass. The interior has not been inspected.
