Description
No 20 Howley Place is a pair of houses built in the 1840s, located in the City of Westminster. The houses are constructed of brick and covered in stucco, topped with a Welsh slate roof. They stand two storeys high, with an attic and a basement, and feature three bays.
No 20 has a projecting Tuscan porch that contains a four-panel door with an overlight above. The windows are tripartite sashes with sills and cornices supported by consoles. There is a sill band on the first floor, along with angle pilasters. The first floor also features tripartite sashes, and the building is topped with a cornice and parapet. A central pediment with a windowed base is present, and there are 20th-century dormers on each side.
No 2 Warwick Avenue, which is similar in design, has a porch that has been blocked and replaced with a window.
