Description
No. 26 Frith Street is a terrace house built around 1735, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. The building is faced with stucco and has a concealed roof. It stands four storeys high and is three windows wide. The ground floor features a mid-19th century front with large foliage consoles supporting the fascia, while it retains what is likely the original house door, which has six fielded panels. The upper floors have recessed sash windows with intact glazing bars on the second floor, all set under flat arches. There are sill bands and a parapet with coping. Inside, original features include a panelled stair compartment with a closed string dog leg staircase, turned balusters, square-headed column newels, and a first-floor front room with a box cornice.
