15, Frith Street W1

No. 15 Frith Street is a terrace house dating from around 1734, with alterations made over the years. It features a rare early 19th-century shop front, which was added in 1816. The building has a stuccoed front and a concealed roof, standing four storeys tall and three windows wide. The ground floor showcases an intact Gothick style shop front, consisting of three unequal bays that are articulated and flanked by slender, cast iron clustered shafts.

The house door is located in the right-hand bay and is recessed, featuring six framed panels and a rectangular fanlight with a looped fan tracing pattern, flanked by elongated consoles. The main former shop window to the left consists of four panes by eight panes, with wooden glazing bars and a four-centred arch above the transom, which is filled with cast iron tracery and dagger trefoils in the spandrels. There is also an off-centre former shop doorway, now a window, which has a pointed arch above the transom with intersecting tracery and similar spandrels. The overall design includes an entablature with a frieze that is coved out, topped with delicate drop finialed quoining at the cornice. The upper floors have square-headed recessed casements, and the building is capped with a parapet featuring coping.
