Description
No. 64 Frith Street is a terrace house that likely dates from around 1690 but may have been completely rebuilt around 1734. It is constructed of rendered brick with a concealed roof and stands four storeys tall with a basement. The building is three windows wide, featuring a later 20th-century shop front on the ground floor. The upper floors have recessed flat arched glazing bar sash windows and a parapet with coping. The interior is the least altered in the row, preserving early 18th-century fittings, including ovolo moulded panelling in the stairwell, dog leg stairs with closed strings, turned balusters, and column newels, which are boxed in on the bottom flight. The first floor retains its original doors, shutters, sunk ovolo panelling, box cornice, and a dentil course in the front room. No. 64 is likely of the same construction as Nos. 62 and 63.
