Description
No. 49 Frith Street is a terrace house built between 1804 and 1807, constructed separately from Nos. 44 to 48. The building is made of stock brick and has a concealed roof. It stands four storeys tall with a basement. The ground floor features a display window, but to the right is the original semicircular arched doorway, which contains a door with six fielded and flush panels, accompanied by a patterned fanlight in a reeded frame flanked by pilastered strips. The upper floors have recessed sash windows, with intact glazing bars on the second and third floors, and casements on the first floor, all set under flat gauged red brick arches. The building has a parapet with coping, cast iron window guards on the first floor, and cast iron area railings with urn finials. This property is included for its group value.
