No. 52 Upper Berkeley Street is a terraced house built around 1780 to 1800 as part of the Portman Estate development. The building is constructed of stock brick with a channelled stucco ground floor. To the left, there is a square-headed doorway featuring a panelled door and a fanlight, all set beneath a channelled voussoir flat arch. The ground floor windows also have similar arches. The upper floors are fitted with recessed sash windows that have stuccoed reveals, positioned under flat stucco voussoired and keyed arches. A plat band marks the transition from the ground floor stucco work at the level of the first floor sills. Both the ground and first floors have projecting sills with Victorian cast iron guards.
