Description
No. 50 Upper Berkeley Street is a terraced house dating from around 1800, part of the Portman Estate development. It is constructed of stock brick with a channelled stucco ground floor and has a concealed slate roof. The building stands four storeys tall, plus a basement, and is two windows wide. To the left, there is a semicircular arched doorway featuring a panelled door and a fanlight. The upper floors have recessed sash windows set under flat gauged arches. A plat band finishes the ground floor stuccowork, and there is a parapet with coping at the top. Delicate cast iron balconettes adorn the first floor, and cast iron area railings with urn finials are present at the front.
