Description

This is a terraced town house located on Great Cumberland Place, built around 1800 to 1820 as part of the Portman Estate development. The house is constructed of stock brick with a slate roof. It is four storeys high, with a basement and a dormered mansard roof. There are three windows across the front. A semicircular arched doorway is located on the left-hand side, with a panelled door flanked by side lights and an arched fanlight above. The windows are recessed sash windows set within flat, gauged red brick arches. A stucco cornice and blocking course run along the top of the building. A cast iron, bombe (domed) balcony spans the first floor. Cast iron area railings with urn finials are present at street level.
