Description

These are a series of twelve lamp standards, numbered 1 to 12, located on Queen Anne's Gate in the City of Westminster. They were made in the mid-19th century and are constructed from cast iron. Each lamp standard features a low octagonal base and an octagonal shaft, which includes ladder bars and Windsor lanterns. This group of lamp posts is part of a notable sequence that also includes those on Old Queen Street and Carteret Street, and they are included in the listing for their group value.
