Description

St Paul's Church of England Primary School was built in 1869 and is constructed of brown brick with white stone dressings, featuring red and black brick window dressings and a tiled roof. The building is designed in a Gothic style, with a western facade that includes four gables, the outer two of which are above staff houses. A central clock tower with a spire is positioned above the entrance, which features six cloister arches. The two central arches have a stone string course gabled above, along with trefoil finials and tablets indicating the "Boys" and "Girls" entrances. The school is two storeys high and has four windows, showcasing Gothic glazing bars and stone tracery. The listed buildings and the road surface of Wellclose Square form a group with Wilton's Music Hall and Grace's Alley.
