Description
This is a late 18th or early 19th century building on Leman Street. It has a facade of painted brick and a slate mansard roof, topped with a coped parapet. A band runs along the wall below the first-floor window sills. The building is three storeys high with dormer windows. It has three bays, with the upper two bays slightly set back on the north side. The windows on the top floor have gauged flat arches. The first-floor windows are set within recessed arches that are linked by a moulded band. All windows are sash windows with glazing bars, except for the ground-floor windows, which are modern. The main entrance is a plain, round-headed doorway with impost bands. Numbers 137 to 141 (the odd numbers) are grouped together as a single architectural composition.
