Description
New Loom House is a mid-19th century stock brick warehouse located at No. 101 Back Church Lane. The building features a cornice and a panelled blocking course above. It stands five storeys tall and has 15 bays facing Back Church Lane and Gowers Walk, with 8 bays on Hooper Street. Typically, each facade consists of two window bays followed by a door rank. Some of the ground floor windows have been altered, while the remaining windows have segmental heads and glazing bars. Brick pilasters are positioned between the windows, and the top windows are blank. New Loom House and Chandlery House are part of a group that includes the wool warehouse at No. 74 Ellen Street.
